According to a new study published by Cisco and the National Cyber Security Alliance, 73 percent of mobile workers claim to be uninformed when it comes to security considerations and threats associated with working on the go.
According to the research, the majority of users claimed to be too busy to adhere to security policies and considered that it was the IT department’s responsiblity to ensure the safe conduct of business, not the individual employee’s.
The news should cause concern among organizations - not only from a wireless point of view, but also in terms of users copying files from laptops and desktop to personal kit such as USB sticks, PDAs and other portable storage devices.
