The VA data theft seems to get worse every day, now it is being reported that more than 2.2 million current military personal’s records, including 80% of the current active forse, may have been compromised, up from 50,000 originally reported. This on top of the 26.5 million records of veterans discharged after 1975, makes the issue much more serious. With this escalation it is raising concerns not only about potential identity theft, but also national security. In the endpoint security understatement of the year Army spokesman Paul Boyce said “Obviously there are issues associated with identity theft and force protection.”
